The owner of the apartment, purchased on the secondary market, wanted to create a townhouse-style space with the character of an old building but with modern functionality. The apartment required extensive renovation. The extent of the renovation included the construction of new partition walls while retaining one original load-bearing wall, which was indicative of the scale of the work. The room’s great height of as much as 270 cm allowed for the exposure of elegant elements, such as stucco and decorative ceiling moldings, which brought classic elegance to the interior.
The renovation work was extensive, but the owner was keen to preserve as many of the original features of the 1950s building as possible. The arrangement was dominated by natural colors – beiges, whites and greens, which created a cozy atmosphere and brought harmony.
During the renovation, technical challenges were solved, such as creating a new layout of the space, soundproofing the ceilings and some walls, and designing proper ventilation. As a result, the apartment combined the charm of old architecture with the convenience of modern solutions, becoming an ideal place to live in an urban townhouse style.
In the bedroom we designed a lamppost painted in green, which gave the space a unique atmosphere. The apartment also features an elegant study, decorated in dark navy blue tones that emphasize its serious, sophisticated character. The bathroom is a classic in beige, with numerous light sources that create a pleasant atmosphere, while a veneered cabinet under the sink adds warmth and elegance to the interior. The whole is complemented by a kitchen in shades of green and beige. The stone countertop complements the entire space making it functional and extremely impressive.
The spaciousness of the apartment and its classic details make the interior a perfect combination of townhouse style and modern functionality.
